While the country debates coalitions, potholes, and pothole-coalitions, we’ve quietly assembled the most dangerous, delusional, and inspirational field in Faku history.
90 runners. One club. Three colours. Many spreadsheets. Zero chill.
This is the 2025 Faku Charity Drive — a wild stampede of runners, fuelled by banana bread, baby monitors, and deeply questionable pacing strategies.
It’s not just a race. It’s a movement. And this year, we’re going bigger, harder, and hopefully not home before we finish.
Last year we crushed it, raising R102,000 for charity. This year, we want to top that, and we can’t do it without the help of the incredible Faku Running Club community.

- Silver Bus = Oversubscribed and spiritually led by Davie “Hold on or Blackout” Chaplin
- Medal targets range from sub-7 dreams to sub-12 survival
- Voice note average: 3min 42s (and climbing)
- Predicted finish rate: 100% (unless someone forgets their socks)
🎯 But Seriously, What’s the Mission? This isn’t just about medals and race-day carnage. We’re raising real money for real people in places that matter.

- We’ll direct even more support to local community needs: schools, homes, youth programs, and those “just need a hand” stories from right here in our backyard
